To get to this spectacular and remote spot, hike south from the end
of the road in Kings Canyon, toward the Sphinx. Follow the "unmaintained
trail" (a bad National Park joke -- it's cross country over talus)
to Sphinx Lakes. The pictured area is above the highest Sphinx Lakes.
