Taking a photo of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris always seems to be about the first thing I do in
France because it's very close to the hotel we like, and, of course, it (as well as the Tower) "say" "Paris & France."
The photos below are in the order taken. After a couple of days in Paris to adjust, we took a Viking river cruise on the
subject rivers. Given the importance of rivers to older countries, these river cruises, with their daily events at stops,
cover much of the historic places in these older countries.
